2. The Morning of Joy

Psalms 30:5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.

Jeremiah 31:13 The young women will dance for joy, and the men—old and young—will join in the celebration.  I will turn their mourning into joy. I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing.

3. The Joyful Reaping

Psalms 126:5-6 Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.  6 They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.

4. The Gospel of Sunshine

Isaiah 12:3 With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation!

Isaiah 51:11 Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return.  They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness.

John 15:11 I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!

James 1:2 Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.

5. Abounding Joy

Psalms 16:11 You will show me the way of life,  granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

John 16:24 You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.

1 Peter 1:8 You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.

1 Peter 4:13 Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.

6. The Joy of the Angels

Luke 15:10 In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.”
