Rick opened the worship service talking about the Friday evening bible study
whose current subject is “Prayer”. He quoted Isaiah 55:6 (“Seek the Lord
while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.”), encouraging
the boys to attend next Friday. Then he turned our attention to a young
man, Caesar, who had successfully completed the Pegasus program and was heading
home. As a departing gift especially for Caesar, Lyndee read Psalm 91:

Joe Ramirez was the featured speaker. His scripture
text was 1 Peter 5:5 “In the same way, you younger men must accept the
authority of the elders. And all of you, serve each other in humility,
for “God opposes the proud but favors the humble.”” Joe
talked of the change Jesus had made in his life turning anger to peace,
distrust to trust, selfishness to thankfulness, and unbelief to faith.
He talked the boy’s language and you could tell they appreciated his
