Sunday May 2, 2010 – Rick opened the morning services
talking about Pegasus Family Day. Since
not all the boys had family visiting them he spoke of the Fatherhood of God
encouraging the boys to learn to turn to their heavenly Father in time of
loneliness or despair.
Cindy led the praise and worship singing “Here I am to

Our morning speaker was Luis Amaya. He talked of his thankfulness to God for his
good health realizing that many in this world suffer through each day. He told the boys that they too should be
thankful that they were able to walk to this morning service.
His text was Acts 24:24-26 A few days later Felix came back with his wife, Drusilla, who was
Jewish. Sending for Paul, they listened as he told them about faith in Christ
Jesus. 25 As he reasoned with them about righteousness and
self-control and the coming day of judgment, Felix became frightened. “Go away
for now,” he replied. “When it is more convenient, I’ll call for you
again.” 26 He also hoped that Paul would bribe him, so he sent for
him quite often and talked with him.
Many have given the same answer as Felix when they heard the
gospel; “When it is more convenient” but
who knows we will have a tomorrow. How
many have put off this decision thinking they want to do this or that before
they get interested in what the bible.
Wait till I finish school or wait till I am married and raising a
family, etc; The scripture says; now is
the day to make your decision for Christ.
Accept it or reject it but don’t wait for a more convenient time.
He ended his message with 2 Cor. 6:2 For God says, “At just the right time,
I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed,
the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation. And Proverbs 4: 20-22 My child, pay attention to what I
say. Listen carefully to my words. 21 Don’t lose sight of
them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, 22 for they bring
life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.
Ken spoke of the service to the community given by Luis and
his wife Connie. He closed the service
having the boys recite the Lord’s Prayer.
